The perfect ending to what was a crazy day at WSU. The Shockers beat Northern Iowa, just as I predicted, 74-60.

The day started with ESPN’s College Gameday visiting Wichita State. Greg Fears, owner of FN1 and a photographer for TeenView Magazine, and I got to experience the event first-hand! With our media passes, provided by TeenView Magazine, we got to be on the court during the event, and even got to meet the College Gameday crew!

Shocker Nation really showed up during the event, even making Rece Davis, host of College Gameday, have to pause a few times due to all the noise they were making!

After College Gameday finished, then the main event took over: Wichita State versus Northern Iowa. With the number one seed on for the MVC tourney on the line, you knew that both teams would show up!

Luckily for all of you Shocker fans, WSU showed up a little more. Ron Baker put in 17 points and the entire starting lineup scored in double figures.

Most likely these teams will have another matchup in the MVC tournament, so we’ll really get to see who the better team is then!
