With 16:28 left in the game, WSU took their first lead of the game. They gave it up very quickly.

Sadly, this is the end of the Shockers season. I have to say, that I’m proud of this team for their hard work and the fact that they never give up. That being said, Notre Dame played a GREAT game.

With Ron Baker and Tekele Cotton combining for only 15 points, this game seemed out of hand. Darius Carter, with 22 points, and Fred VanVleet put in 25, which kept the Shockers in the game for a while.

Notre Dame is known for its offense, but they played great defense against the Shockers. They’re definitely going to be a threat in this tourney.

Hopefully, for Shockers fans, next season WSU will get farther in the tourney
