It has been officially announced that football players who kneel during the national anthem will possibly face fines.

With that being said they may stay in the locker room until the national anthem is over. Kneeling during the national anthem began with Colin Kaepernick protesting the way people, specifically people of color, were and still are being treated in America. Many football players followed suit. Pretty straight forward and peaceful protest. So, what is the harm? I say nothing. Why are we forcing people to literally stand up for a country that is so full of hate? Forcing people to stand defeats the whole purpose of a free country. I hope most football players stay in the locker room. Stand for what you believe in. Don’t stop until we are where we need to be.
