For people with the pretty average sense of style and not exciting wardrobe choices, taking ‘fit’ tips from icon Rihanna can kind of be overwhelming and make you really question the fashion industry. Nonetheless, everyone’s got those additions to their closet that wouldn’t be there if it weren’t for the fearless Ri-Ri. Time and time again she took the game by surprise and made the trends that the stores sell. In the eyes of the multitudes, what she wore didn’t exist until she wore it. Now it’s common law: It’s ugly ‘til Rihanna decides it’s not!

1.) The Peasant Blouse

This one’s from her now recent “Wild Thoughts” music video with Bryson Tiller and DJ Khaled. You gotta hand it to “The Girl,” the way she pulls the outfits in this video you’d think that’s the kind of clothes everyone wears. Like man, that could’ve been you to wear that shirt first and look that good. But the point is, you didn’t. Just like the other four examples in this article.

2.) BRIGHT FURS

Right around the time she dropped the “B*tch better have my money” single, it’s like she took on the persona of some bad-ass hustler (or a villain from a Batman movie). These Va Va Voom pieces are guaranteed to put all eyes on even a nobody like us.

3.) The Naked Clothes

Yeah, we can pretty much establish that Rihanna made basically no clothes a trend too. Remember that CDFA Awards, when you didn’t even know there was CDFA Awards until you saw Rihanna walking the red carpet basically pairing her flesh-colored underwear with glitter and calling it a look. The naked dress wasn’t the only time she was, well, basically naked. However, now we’re less in shock since that day’cause you know, it’s a thing now, thanks to herself.

4.) Over-sized… Everything?

Probably one of the really convenient trends she’s made for us. A real thanks is due for this positive contribution to society! The tale goes something like this: Princess Rihanna woke up from her slumber once as-normal-as-possible-since-it’s-Rihanna day. She puts on that killer outfit she’s been so excited to wear out. Then when it comes to the wear or tear item that brings it all together… she faces her reflection in the mirror, not able to see herself under the very not fitted jacket. Instead of staring and stressing, she grabs her purse and heads out with an indifferent attitude. And the outfit slayed happily ever after. THE END.

5.) Fur slides

This is the pure definition of EXTRA. In case her past outfits weren’t unsubtle enough, fur on your feet became a thing. First thoughts, “Who’s cat got stepped on?” Second thoughts, “Do I really love my feet if I don’t have fur slippers for them?” Fur lining was always a thing because it’s logical to make the inside of your shoes comfortable but now it’s illogical to put the fur where everyone can’t see it!

Who knows what bad gal Ri-Ri is going to bring to the table next- No point preparing for it because we can never handle it. Just know it’s coming.
