Spring Break is a vocational period in early spring celebrated by all schools and universities. Most people see it as a week off. I see it as a short period of time to work. Yes, I said work. Work on me!
We ALL get into “ruts” at some point in time during our lives; and what better way to get out of this rut than to spend an entire week working on myself! I’m talking about a major overhaul from head-to-toe. Unfortunately, it’s going to take some time, patience and money. All of which I struggle with.
First things first… my hair! After this crazy winter, my hair is drier than the desert. It’s in need of some moisturizing treatments. So, I’ve made an appointment with Tia at Eric Fisher Salon to have that remedied. She will also give me some highlights (to brighten my face) and a trim.
Next… my teeth! I’ve been in braces for over 18 months now, and I’m finally seeing a rainbow at the end of this “tooth storm”! During break, my dentist will turn this uncooperative tooth around and tighten my braces so I can get these darn things off! My goal is to have them off before my 16th birthday.
Finally… my skin! As we ALL know, our skin is the largest organ on our body and it’s VERY important to take care of it. Like my hair, my skin as been parched due to this weather. I’ve made an appointment to get “spray tanned” to knock the paste off; but before this, I will exfoliate from head to toe.
Short story long… spring will BREAK me! But, that’s okay. I think. Who knows? I’m just a fifteen year old! A BROKE fifteen year old at that.
Good blog!
