The Royals are going to the World Series! You heard me right; The Royals are going to the World Series! For the first time in almost 30 years, the Kansas City Royals will be playing in the World Series. They’ll have a tough test in their opponent: The San Francisco Giants. The Giants will be looking for their third World Series championship since 2010, whereas the Royals haven’t been to the Fall Classic since 1985!
Michael Sam, the first gay man drafted into the NFL during the 2014 NFL Draft, has signed with the Dallas Cowboys to be on their practice squad. Sam grew up in Texas and stated that he’s excited to be heading back to his home state and to be joining Dallas. Sam is exactly what Dallas needs, since their top defensive end has an injured shoulder and the team lost pass-rusher to the Denver Broncos in free agency.
Last week, there was a post made on twitter that stated, “Is like, being gay the new in thing to do?’ As you can imagine, some people took offence to the question. It was, for those who are gay almost a mockery of their struggle and the negative treatment living the lifestyle. Some even made mention that famous people who come out loose a lot of support form the main stream. For example, Frank Ocean came out and it was stated that Jay Z said that he would never record with him. We were informed that an actor was denied a role as superman because he was gay.
If you haven’t heard what’s been buzzing in the NBA, you must live under a rock. TMZ released an audio recording of the Los Angeles Clippers owner, Donald Sterling, and his girlfriend who has been identified as V. Stiviano, which is considered a racist rant. The rant was allegedly fueled by an Instagram picture of V. Stiviano and Magic Johnson. Read More
All year, Wichita State has not been giving the love they deserve. Okay, they were pre-ranked #16 or so at the start of the season. However, it has taken them forever to move up the ranks and still have not received the #1 ranking they deserve. But hey, this is all more the reason we believe they will SHOCK the world with a PERFECT season!
