If you’re in the mood for a delicious sandwich, then The Artichoke Sandwich Bar is the place for you. Located at 811 N. Broadway, The Artichoke is definitely one of Wichita’s hidden gems.

The atmosphere perfectly resembles an Irish pub (which also means it’s more of an adult venue in the evening) and the staff will undoubtedly bring a smile to your face. They offer a wide range of sandwiches that will be sure to suit whatever craving you have. The “Famous #8” is by far one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had the privilege of eating, with all the ingredients in a perfect balance. The Reuben wasn’t as sour as any other I’ve ever had, but it was still fairly good.

All of the ingredients seemed to be high quality, something that I can’t appreciate enough. As far as prices go, you’re getting what you pay for; it’s not the cheapest sandwiches in Wichita, but they’re definitely some of the best. If you prefer to save a buck or two, all soft drinks are free with your meal on Mondays- something to remember. The overall restaurant was clean and tidy, something that I loved.

Overall, The Artichoke Sandwich Bar is the perfect stop for a perfect lunch. Despite the initial impression of just being a bar, the Artichoke serves some of the best sandwiches in all of Wichita. I plan on stopping by again very soon.
